What is the booking process?
You can book on-line through the booking system and then arrange payment with us either by a cheque or a bank transfer. We do have the option of paypal but there is an extra small charge. A deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking and the remaining balance is due 4 weeks prior to your stay. We do require a damage deposit of £250 which is returned when the property has been checked. This is standard for a number of holiday cottages and we do request that the damage deposit is received prior to receiving any keys. Thank you
Does the lodge have internet access?
Mileydale Lodge does have a internet accesthat can be accessed using wifi. You can use emails and surf the web but please do not expect to use TV on demand services or You Tube..
Is there a car charger?
Yes Mileydale now has a 7kw Easee One charger allowing you to charge your electric vehicle quickly and easily during your stay. You will need a charging cable with a type 1 connector.
Is there parking?
Yes there is Parking for up to two cars.
Do you provide bedding?
Yes, we provide all bedding and towels. All of our pillows and duvets are anti-allergy. There are no feathers.
Is there a supermarket nearby?
The nearest supermarket is Booths at Windermere (7 Miles). This is on the main route into the Lake District from the M6. Ambleside (2.5 Miles) has a Co-Op, Spar, butchers and bakers and many other shops.

Is there a train station?
The nearest train station is Windermere, which has frequent links to the main line at Oxenholme Kendal.

Is there a local taxi firm?

Do you allow dogs?
No unfortunately we do not allow dogs or any other animals in the lodge
Can we smoke in the lodge?
No, smoking is not permitted in the lodge.
Are the Kitchens well equipped?
We would hope so! If you would like to check if we have something specific before you arrive please do ask . We do not have cake baking equipment though… if you love baking you will need to bring your own.
